‘The Tinder Swindler’ – Documentary about Netflix’s million-dollar dating app scam – famous Alexus Renée Myxer

The Tinder Swindler is a Netflix documentary series based on the true story of a group of women who think they’ve fallen in love until they realize they’ve potentially been cheated out of millions. The project is directed by Felicity Morris and will air on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

The Premise of Tinder Scammers

We are introduced to the story of Cecilie Fjellhoy, a graduate student from Norway who has found herself living in London, in a life devoid of any romance or friendship.

So, as some of you will, she decided to join a dating app, namely Tinder, in hopes of finding a match. During that search, she came across Simon Leviev.

Not many people can combine beauty and brains, but he did when it came to Simon. Things escalated very quickly, as she was introduced to the finer things in life, with private jets becoming the norm.

But beneath the guise of romance lies a man of many layers, some of which raise alarm bells significantly. First, he is the son of billionaire Lev Leviev. The second thing that happens is the diamond business. That explains a lot, then.

The work is also ‘complicated’, to say the least. So what does Simon do? Well, to help him out a bit, Cecilie gets a credit card to pay for things Simon needs, in the name of avoiding any of his ‘enemies’ of course.

She is currently his employee and on the payroll, thus justifying the growing credit limit on her card. The costs will soon add up, however, there is a problem. Can you smell a mouse yet?

It turns out that Simon is an Israeli con man, aka Shimon Hayut, who has just been jailed for fraud. His entire operation was a spoof, but by the time Cecilie discovered this, it was too late.

Simon, or Shimon, has turned to another target: a Swedish woman, Pernilla Sjoholm. The two women cooperate with the police to catch Shimon before he evades justice by working together.
