Legendary French designer Manfred Thierry Mugler, passed away Sunday at the age of 73. The designer’s team announced his passing with a statement written to his followers. in both English and French on his Instagram page: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Mr. Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday, January 23, 2022. May his soul rest in peace. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
The fashion industry took a big hit this past week when news of his death came less than a week after celebrity editor Andre Leon Talley passed away. Mugler is known for dressing some of our favorite artists, including creating the costumes for Beyoncé’s 2009 “I AM… World Tour”
As well as Cardi B, celebrity second Mugler wore exclusive outfits from his exclusive archive for the 81st Annual Grammy Awards in 2019 and she was his private guest at the show. opened his exhibition in Paris shortly after the birth of his second child with rapper Offset.
