After a two-year lawsuit, followed by a week-long trial, Cardi B proved her case before a federal grand jury against blogger Tasha K. Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, has won a lawsuit against Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, who was ordered to pay Almánzar $1.25 million in damages and $250,000 in medical expenses.
Kebe is accused of spreading false information online about Cardi, who has accused the reality TV star turned rapper of being a drug-addicted prostitute who knowingly slept with men with STDs. Last month, those accusations were proven false when a court ordered Cardi’s STD test to come back negative.
Cardi herself has spoken in defense, claiming that the accusations led her to commit suicide during the time in question. The judge ruled that any punitive damages could be determined at a future hearing.
