The small MMO Book of Travels launches a new beta server test environment, preview fishing

Tiny early access MMO Book of Travels is about to begin a new phase of beta testing with a new testing branch specifically aimed at addressing the game’s memory consumption issues. According to the announcement made on Might and Delight’s Discord last night, folks willing to test this new EU beta shard can access the beta via Steam.

“In terms of functionality and content, this is no different than what you’re used to,” says the studio. “The difference from the retail version is everything under the hood, and all we need is for players to populate this server branch and play it like you normally would – interact with NPCs and each other, go on quests, explore you the world, etc.”

The Kickstarter Book of Travels launched into Early Access back in 2021, and sadly, the “tiny MMO” proved apt as its quirky style never attracted a large population, prompting layoffs at the studio. However, last December, the company announced that its staff was back at full capacity and pushing the game’s development at full speed.
