A new documentary is included with the works, which will follow the life and career of the comedian, actor and performance artist. Andy Kaufman. His life was previously documented on film man in the Moonin which Jim Carey brilliantly took on the person(s) of the late Kaufman.
Emmy-nominated Alex Braverman (gaycation, The spirit of a chef) directs the feature document. Elara Pictures, the production company led by Josh and Benny Safdie, will serve as executive producers alongside Rick Rubin and Chuck Braverman and Morgan Neville. Kaufman’s key creative partner, Lynn Margulies Osgood, and writing partner Bob Zmuda will star in the film.
Kaufman, who died in 1984 after a battle with cancer, secured legendary comedy status as a sensational comedian and performance artist, best known for his role as Latka Gravas, an immigrant auto mechanic, on the sitcom Taxi.
The document has just started production. I grew up with Kaufman taxiand i loved the movie man in the Moon. I look forward to seeing this and getting even more background on Kaufman.
