The Pokémon Go event Test Your Mettle features Steel-type Pokémon Celesteela, Kartana, Mega Aggron, and more

More Ultra Beasts are making their way to Pokémon Go in the Test Your Mettle event with Celesteela and Kartana released a few days before the actual event. This gives players a few days to battle these behemoths before they disappear. Alongside these two Ultra Beasts, there are Mega Raids featuring Mega Aggron and several Steel-type Pokémon appearing in the wild.

Celesteela and Kartana have already appeared around the world. Celesteela will appear in five-star raids throughout the southern hemisphere, and Kartana will appear in five-star raids for the northern hemisphere. You will not encounter them outside of these regions.

However, the first series of Ultra Beasts, Xurkitree, Buzzwole, and Pheromosa, originally appeared in certain Pokémon Go Fest events that were region-specific and later became available during the final event of the Pokémon Go Season, Go Fest: Finale. Hopefully, Celesteela and Kartana will follow a similar pattern, and they’ll be available to all in a later event in the current season, Season of Light.

Alongside these Ultra Beasts, Mega Aggron will spawn in global Mega Raids throughout the Test Your Mettle event. Completing them will give you Energy for your Aggron to Mega Evolve and use in other PvE Raids. It might prove helpful against Celesteela and Kartana while they’re available.

Several Steel-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event, including Togedemaur, which is making its debut alongside Alolan Sandshrew, Drilbur, Ferroseed, Togedemaur, Galarian Stunfisk, Skarmory, Bronzor, Magnemite, and more. They will appear in the wild in small raids and some might even be given out as field research encounters.

The Test Your Mettle event starts on September 16th and runs until September 21st. Now if you complete a five star raid, see if there is an Ultra Wormhole for your chance to fight Celesteela or Kartana.
