While it’s debatable if he’s the best tight end alive, one thing’s for sure: no one has enjoyed playing football more than Gronk. He really is one of a kind and good luck to him in retirement again.

Even though he first made his mark by catching touchdown passes from The GOAT for the Evil Empire, Gronkowski was one of those rare players that everyone loved.

Being one of the greatest all-around tight ends of all time certainly took its toll on his body. Outside of the 2019 NFL season, when he wasn’t on a team, Gronkowski played the football game with a childlike enthusiasm that everyone was naturally drawn to.

It remains to be seen if this is indeed the last time he will play in the NFL, as even his own agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has hinted his client could return to Tampa Bay later this year, Gronkowski has a lifetime of support opportunities and other business ventures before him.

Ultimately, we can all learn a lesson or two from Gronk. Throughout his illustrious career, he has been the epitome of hard work and hard play. Though he may have exuded tremendous party boy vibes in his early Patriots days, Gronkowski won’t become the mythical character he is today without a relentless work ethic and the discipline to go from an Arizona afterthought to an all-time great will.

Congratulations on your bloody career, Gronk, and may you be on time for happy hour this Tuesday!
