The new World of Warcraft patch sees the return of racial heritage armor, expands the available Monk races, and more

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is in full swing, and Blizzard is committed to keeping its player base informed of upcoming content from future patches. With several quality-of-life additions and changes to address the pain points of the expansion launch now in-game, the developers reveal what’s next in the pipeline for patch 10.0.7. Despite being a relatively small patch, fans will finally have the return of racial heritage armor, new available races for the Monk class, and even the ability to explore the Dractyr starting zone as an endgame activity.

Racial heritage armor was introduced during the Battle for Azeroth expansion, but was quietly not added during the Shadowlands expansion. Players love completing their character’s race quest lines to unlock these unique armor models, so they’ll be happy to see that both Orcs and Humans will receive their traditional armor in Patch 10.0.7.

Blizzard has also stated that they intend to remove the restrictions between race selection and class selection in the foreseeable future. The Dragonflight pre-patch made Priests, Rogues, and Mages available for all races, and it looks like Monks will be added to that list soon. Monk players can also now choose between Lightforged Draenei, Worgen, and Goblin as possible races, freeing the class from any racial restrictions.

Rounding out the patch preview is a mention that fans can return to the Forbidden Reach as an endgame zone. This island is the starting area for the Drakthyr Evoker class, but it will now also act as a tiered location for top-level players to advance the narrative while encountering new bosses, objectives, and loot to collect.

That’s not all that’s coming in Patch 10.0.7. Blizzard has also announced that they will refresh the Recruit A Friend program with new rewards to be earned by bringing friends back to Azeroth. There’s no release date for the patch yet, but the expansion roadmap said it will be sometime in the spring.
