The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur are driving the internet wild with Prince Harry and Meghan parody pic

The Morning Show hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur “won Instagram today” with their parody of the latest portrait of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the picture on Tuesday, days after the royal family released an official portrait of King Charles standing alongside his wife Queen Consort Camilla, daughter-in-law Catherine, Princess of Wales and Prince William.

Larry mimicked the pose, standing behind his co-host and holding her hand as they both stared at the camera.

Kylie, who noticed midway through the Morning Show’s filming on Wednesday that her shirt resembled that of the Duchess of Sussex, shared the side-by-side pictures.

“The Duke and Duchess of BS. That’s my caption,” Kylie wrote alongside the snap.

“Larry’s caption reads, ‘At least two men in this photo played pool naked in Vegas. And at least two women in this photo would do anything to get the keys to a lock 😂😂😂.

“I think @larryemdur’s caption wins. Seriously, we were a few segments on tonight’s morning show when we spotted the fashion similarities.

“It took us another three segments to get the picture right 😂.”

Fellow Seven’s moderators and followers were quick to respond, with news anchor Angela Cox declaring the photo is “winning Instagram today”.

“This is gold,” added Sunrise and news anchor Sally Bowrey.

One follower asked, “Can I add a caption? 😂 Larry and Kylie do it better. ❤️”

“I would take Princess Kylie and Prince Laz over Princess Megs and Prince Haz any day,” said another.

The original photo of Harry and Meghan was taken before the Queen’s death at the One Young World summit in Manchester, UK.

One picture showed Meghan in a red pantsuit looking straight at the camera with a slight smile on her lips.

Harry stood beside her – also with a slight smile – as he loosely gripped her fingers.

A second picture of the couple was captured in black and white and shows them “moments” before the opening ceremony, looking out at the audience and holding hands again.

The pictures were taken by famous photographer Misan Harriman, who is a friend of the couple.

“A portrait of love and power,” one fan explained on Twitter.

“Power to change, power to inspire, power to love.

“I mean look at Meghan’s face; She is gorgeous. And Harry’s soft blue eyes and Diana-like smile. And their fingers that cling together are bound forever.”

The release of the portraits came after experts suspected the latest photo of King Charles offered a big clue about the future of the monarchy.

The official photo, taken on September 18 by Getty photographer Chris Jackson, shows a relaxed Charles posing with his hand in his pocket and his arm around Camilla.

Catherine, meanwhile, has her arm around William’s back and all four royals smile casually for the camera.

Commenters addressed the “unspoken elephant in the room” – the absence of Harry and Meghan.

Editor Richard Kay, writing for the Daily Mail, suggested the image was a “not-so-subtle nod” to Charles’ desire for a “slimmed-down monarchy”.

“It certainly can’t be a coincidence that the picture was taken while (Harry and Meghan) were still in the UK and a few days before they returned home to their children Archie and Lilibet,” Kay wrote.

“It must therefore be another signal that they will never return to their central role in royal life.

“There is a finality to this photo that suggests there is no going back for a couple who could have been at the epicenter of royalty but are now on the fringes,” he added.
