“The MOMENT he could have passed LeBron, Giannis passed him” Kevin Durant engaged in a heated Twitter exchange with analyst Nick Wright over comments about the “runner-up in the NBA”.

Kevin Durant is once again taking social media by storm, battling with close supporters of the league. A brief backstory, the Brooklyn Nets took on the Milwaukee Bucks and lost to them in the clutch 120-119. The reason Durant was taunted was because this was the second time he missed a game-winning shot late in the fourth quarter.

Giannis Antetokounmpo literally dominated the entire game, ending with a monstrous night of 44 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. He shot 66.7% from the field and made 14 of 21 attempts to become the franchise’s top scorer behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Although the Nets had a relatively better night of shooting, the Nets lost and Durant failed to convert the game winner, who finished with 26 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds and shooting 10 of 21 from the field.
Kevin Durant engages in a heated exchange with analyst Nick Wright, who is following the Nets’ back-to-back loss

The Brooklyn Nets have raised high expectations following the return of Kyrie Irving and even Kevin Durant after All-Star Weekend. The team led the Eastern Conference for a better half of the season before losing players to injuries and the trade deadline. After her recent loss Nick Wright felt the urge to stab the former NBA’s Most Valuable Player.

The Twitter thread went as follows, Nick Wright said: “I have a real feeling about KD… he had to be 2nd The best for LeBron in a decade, and in the MOMENT he could have passed LeBron, Giannis passed him. 2nd High school player, 2nd select in the draft, 2nd best player in the NBA for life. Real terrible luck.”
Durant replied and said: “Have no pity on the god. Life has been incredible, little Nicky.”
Wright countered, saying: “Honest question before bed… if KD is a ‘god’, what does that make of Giannis?”
KD shot back and said: “A god. As you are, but you’d rather be a farmer.”
Nick Wright speaks publicly about his exchange with Kevin Durant

Speaking candidly about the exchange on ESPN’s First Things First, Wright said: “When this tweet I sent was read out loud to me, it was mean. So I don’t blame Kevin Durant for responding. It was a callback to the illustrated sports cover before he won his first MVP, where he said he’d been second all his life.” He continued to fire at Durant’s reply, saying: “I’ve been upgraded from a puppet to a pawn. But KD responded because what I said is true.”
Durant did not respond to those comments, which Wright shared on his show. However, KD’s reaction is inevitable. The Brooklyn Nets are heading for 8th place in the play-in tournament rankings in the east with a record of 40 wins and 37 losses. They have won just two of their last five games and six of their last ten. Durant is currently averaging 29.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game on 52% shooting. The Nets meet the 10th set the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday April 2ndnd2022.
