Detectives with the Monash Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man with alleged theft and fraud of $250,000 from a Mulgrave company.
The funds are alleged to have been stolen between March 2021 and July 2022.

The money was reportedly funneled into the man’s own business, which sourced and paid 10 top-flight international cricketers to play in local cricket competitions in south-east Melbourne.
At the time of the indictment, none of the players had played any games.
A 35-year-old man from Doncaster has been charged with 18 counts of obtaining financial gain through deception and one count of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was released on bail to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 29.
A local cricket club and cricket association have been contacted for comment.
It’s not uncommon for international stars to appear in local competitions.
A T20 match this Sunday at Shepley Oval in south-east Melbourne between Endeavor Hills Cricket Club and Queensland’s Western Suburbs Premier Cricket Club will feature several top-flight players.
7NEWS.com.au does not indicate that these clubs are linked to the above allegation.
Former Sri Lankan all-rounder Tillakaratne Dilshan is the captain of Endeavor Hills and his team will reportedly consist of former West India star Chris Gayle, former Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik, current Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and other well-known players.
English slugger Luke Procter will also feature in the game.
