The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been delayed again, dear

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, the upcoming Lord of the Rings game centered on – you guessed it – Gollum, has been postponed yet again. The message on the official Twitter said that the game’s release has been pushed back a few months from the previous date of September 1st. The exact time has not yet been announced.

“We strive to meet the expectations of our community and uncover the untold story of Gollum in a way that honors JRR Tolkien’s vision,” the message reads.

The game was originally announced in 2019 with a 2021 release date, but was pushed back to 2022. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum based on the original books – not the film trilogy – and delves into Gollum’s journey. Players must also contend with Gollum’s other half, Sméagol, who occasionally takes over the decision-making process.
