More information has emerged about the situation surrounding L’Jarius Sneed’s car.

Kansas City chiefs Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was shot in his car in his native Louisiana on Friday.

While it was a frightening incident in Minden, Louisiana, fan side‘s Matt Verderame reported Friday night that Sneed has not yet arrived at the scene, even in his hometown. However, the car in question was registered in his name, so news of his possible involvement in the affair only surfaced on Friday afternoon. Luckily, Sneed is fine, but this is being investigated.

Sneed enters his third NFL season with the Chiefs from Louisiana Tech.

L’Jarius Sneed car shooting: More information on Friday afternoon’s incident

The Chiefs are counting on Sneed to have a great year on the back end of their defense. Kansas City may be slight favorites to repeat the AFC West race, but all three of the Chiefs’ division rivals are certainly capable of making the playoffs this fall. After losing Tyrant Mathieu and Charvarius Ward at free hand, seek out Sneed to take on a bigger role in the Chiefs’ defense.

Honestly, while Sneed had nothing to do with the Minden, Louisiana incident over the weekend, it wasn’t going to go down well with the Chiefs’ organization. Again, they’re trusting a third-year pro and former fourth-round pick to do big things on defense this year. One could argue that the runner-up is this team’s Achilles’ heel. That’s not the attention Sneed should have.

As soon as more information about the auto-shooting becomes known, FanSided will keep you posted. The L’Jarius Sneed update provides more context
