The Liverpool duo return to participate in outdoor training

Ahead of Champions League comfort for Liverpool: Joe Gomez and Naby Keita were pictured returning to full training on Monday and could be benched as they take on AC Milan in their final Champions League encounter League.

Joe Gomez was called back prior to his international break due to a groin problem, meanwhile, Naby Kieta has suffered a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since being forced off the field against Brighton in early November.

Gomez and Kieta both traveled with the team to Italy and featured in the matchday squad for the first time since their respective injury absences.

It is unlikely they will start with AC Milan late tonight and will likely be introduced late in the game and complete extra slots. But it is likely that the Red Devils boss will let them both enter the Premier League round of 16 match against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp will rotate his Liverpool squad to keep the paramedics from “beating him up” – expect some changes

In the trip to San Siro, Jurgen Klopp will not have the support of some players in his first team. It is reported that the pair Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson have not been with the team and are resting for the weekend.

After being booked against FC Porto, James Milner is also certain to miss the game; In addition, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Roberto Firmino – who are still healing their wounds.

Having made it through to the last 16 of the Champions League, Klopp will no doubt call for a few changes – to balance the entire rhythm of the team.
