To celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, the House of Mouse is bringing some of its best feature films back to the big screen, along with some classics coming out of the vault. The 2004 animated film continues the ongoing celebration The Incredibles returns to theaters for two weeks starting September 1st. The film was written and directed by Brad Bird It received four Oscar nominations and even won Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing awards. The Incredibles Grossing $632 million worldwide, it made waves and became the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2004. While commercial success is one thing, the film garnered acclaim from fans and critics alike for its performances, direction and performance its animation style as well as the innovative storyline that looks at the superheroes from a new perspective.


What is The Incredibles about?

The film takes place at a time when the government forbids all “superpowers” from using their powers in public and forces them to go into hiding. It’s about Bob, a retired superhero with superhuman strength and endurance who loves his family but also craves some superhero action in New World. Things change when Bob is tasked with a new mission that he must keep secret from everyone, including his wife Helen, who has the ability to change her body like rubber. Together they have three super-powered children, and when things go wrong and Bob is captured, his family bands together to defeat the evil Syndrome, who was once a superfan but turned supervillain when he became Mr .Incredible was rejected.

The Incredibles family reunited

The stacked voice cast includes Craig T Nelson as Bob aka Mr. Incredible, holly Hunter as his wife Helen aka Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell plays her daughter Violet and Spencer Fox as Dash, their second child. Further rounding off is the cast Jason Lee as antagonist syndrome, Samuel L Jackson as Bob’s best friend Lucius Best aka Frozone, Elizabeth Pena as Mirage and Brad Bird as Edna.
