The Fortnite and Destiny 2 collaboration was leaked ahead of the showcase unveiling

A credible leak reveals that Fortnite and Destiny 2 will be collaborating soon, with a possible announcement scheduled for the Destiny 2 Showcase on August 23rd.
Shared online by Schiina on Twitter, and datamined by Ginsor, an image of three Fortnite skins coming to Destiny 2 has been spotted. These three skins contain one each for the three main classes of Destiny 2: Titan, Warlock, and Hunter. These skins appear to be the Black Knight, Catalyst, and Omega Fortnite skins. Nothing was revealed about how players would access or earn these skins.
Destiny 2 has only dabbled in crossover content so far, with the most notable example being the Halo-inspired content that launched for the studio’s 30th anniversary, but rumors of this collaboration have been around for some time. The skins featured in the leaked image appear to be at least thematically appropriate to Destiny’s established art style.
Fortnite is obviously the king of crossovers and is currently riding high on their massif dragon ball great Cooperation. It will no doubt get its own Destiny 2 content as well, but what that is remains unclear. This also comes from teasing Lord of the Rings could be an upcoming collaboration with the battle royale, but this leak suggests Destiny 2 would come before the massive fantasy series.
Destiny 2 is gearing up for its upcoming showcase to reveal Season 18 and the Lightfall expansion. Information on the name, raid, activities and more about the new content has also been published recently. Hopefully between these two leaks there are still some surprises for Destiny fans when the Showcase date comes around.
