The Flash and the Arrowverse will end in 2023

The Fastest Man Alive is finally going to hit the brakes, there The Lightning ends its long run on The CW with Season 9 in 2023.
The CW announced The Lightning’The upcoming season, which is slated to premiere on the network’s midseason programming (which usually begins in January), will be its last. The series that was the first spin-off to build on the success of 2011 Arrow and officially turning it into a full DC Universe for the small screen (dubbed The Arrowverse, of course) is also the last show in that universe still standing.
Like many comic book objects, The Arrowverse has been increasingly burdened by knotted continuity and general disorientation, but perhaps there was more to read on the wall: Recent changes at The CW have shifted the focus away from DC objects. Currently, the network only has three DC Comics shows, none of which exist in the actual Arrowverse: star girltaking place on a parallel earth Superman & Lois, which was recently formed as apart from, although similar, the Arrowverse and the new non-Arrowverse show Gotham Knights.
Hence, The LightningThe abridged 13-episode final season will also serve as a farewell to Arrowverse, an unlikely TV experiment that in some ways – particularly given the enormous demands of 20+ episode broadcast seasons – could ultimately be more logistically impressive than the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe . After all, The Arrowverse already had its own multiverse saga – the MCU is only catching up.
Long live the Arrowverse. We’re expecting the reunion special in 10 years.
The Lightning, can be streamed along with many of the Arrowverse shows on Netflix.
