“The Ferrari looked very strong today,” Sergio Perez is “immensely concerned” after seeing Ferrari’s raw pace in Hungary » FirstSportz

Friday’s practice sessions have been wrapped up and dusted off and Sergio Perez has given an insight into Ferrari’s pace following his outing and also spoken about his own efforts.
Ahead of the Hungary event, it was thought that the Maranello team would be too strong for Red Bull and after looking at Friday’s training sessions, that seems to be the case.
Red Bull were a little off Ferrari’s pace all afternoon and Perez said while reflecting on his outing in the RB18: “We tried it. It was a day of trying different parts to get familiar with the car and I think we understood the day well. Hopefully tomorrow we can show what we learned today and that reflects in a high and low fuel consumption pace.”
After a tough Friday outing, the Mexican believes Red Bull have made a good step forward and is confident the morning will be more productive for the Milton-Keynes-based team.
Red Bull finished fourth in Free Practice 2 with Max Verstappen while Sergio Perez managed to work his way up to P9 with a time of 1:19:397.

Sergio Perez believes rain could play a crucial role at the Hungaroring
At the end of Friday’s practice, clouds began to appear in the distance and according to forecasts, it is assumed that Saturday will be wet all day.
With qualifying taking place in wet conditions, Perez feels he and Red Bull could gain ground on the fast Ferrari team. Reflecting on the predicament, Perez said: “Certainly the Ferrari looked very strong today. I think they are very fast. Hopefully it will rain a bit tomorrow so it will be a bit more mixed. We hope to be up there tomorrow.”
The 33-year-old is aiming to be at the front of the grid after tomorrow’s qualifying session and is adamant wet conditions would help stir up the field and personally propel himself to the top end of the grid.
The Ferrari team is aiming for a 2-1 result at the Hungaroring and if Red Bull are to thwart their plans both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez would need to give their best in tomorrow’s qualifying session.
