The Daily Grind: What’s your favorite biome type in MMOs?

Some time ago, Pantheon has posted some slides for some of his biome types in production that caught my attention. Obviously the mockups are sophisticated and a tremendous amount of effort goes into the production of each zone in an MMO. But still there are some that I like better than others.

For example in Lord of the rings online, I’m usually a Shire and Bree fangirl, but when I got to South Ithilien I literally put on my experience-stopping jewel because the flowery wilderness of this area of ​​Gondor was so lush and pretty I knew I was had to do all the quest instead of just passing through it on my way to Osgiliath Ruins. I’m also a big fan of huge sprawling cities that make me feel small Guild Wars 2’s New Kaineng. I’m less of a fan of “disappointed burning waste” zones.
