The Citroen C5 X receives a five-star safety rating from ANCAP

Citroen’s newest vehicle in Australia, the C5 X, has been awarded a five-star safety rating by safety agency ANCAP.
The Australian C5 X received one more star than the C5 X sold in Europe, which ANCAP said was due to the fitting of local vehicles with a more advanced Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system.
It received a score of 82 percent for adult occupant protection, 88 percent for child occupant protection, 69 percent for vulnerable road user protection, and 84 percent for safety assist.

These results apply to both petrol and diesel variants – only the petrol version is sold here – and carry a 2022 date stamp.
“The improved active safety specification and performance pushes the Safety Assist score for C5 X vehicles sold in Australia to 84 percent, well within our five star requirements,” said ANCAP.
A camera radar ‘fusion’ AEB system is fitted as standard on C5 X vehicles delivered in Australia and this system has been shown to provide improved car-to-car AEB performance over pure camera system built into vehicles sold in Europe. ”
