The Browns will have a hard time catching any team that takes down Baker Mayfield

As Deshaun Watson heads to the Cleveland Browns, all eyes are on Baker Mayfield to see when he gets traded.

That hot news Deshaun Watson not only traded with Cleveland Browns but also signing a new contract means that Baker Mayfield’s days with the team are over. The veteran signal caller also requested a trade earlier in the week.

Going forward, both the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks are two teams that stand out in particular. However, easier said than done for the Browns to complete the transaction in the near future.

Browns hope to trade with Baker Mayfield ASAP

There’s been a lot of drama surrounding the Mayfield and Browns in recent weeks. When it was learned that Cleveland was trying to trade for Watson, Mayfield was understandably unhappy.

He thought he had the trust of the organization to lead this team forward, but they decided Watson was their man. Initially, it was reported that Watson removed the Browns family to land him, but there was a last minute change of heart.

As for Mayfield, it was reported that he would prefer a move to the Colts over the Seahawks. Seattle just traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. For now, it looks like Drew Lock will be their QB in the future, but Mayfield is sure to be a step up.

The Colts themselves traded Carson Wentz for the Washington Commanders, as the pairing did not work. Everyone will soon know where Mayfield will play in 2022, but it’s clear that won’t happen in Cleveland. The Browns also need to be creative in trying to close a deal.
