The Browns just historically insulted Baker Mayfield like divisive looms

The increasingly public split between Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns has worsened with reports that the team is looking for “an adult” at QB.
At the NFL Combine, the Browns give every indication Baker Mayfield will be their full-back in 2022. He just needs to earn a new contract with his play.
Now, things sound completely different.
Cleveland is said to be pursuing Deshaun Watson. Baker Mayfield posted what is the equivalent of a city goodbye message. And the gloves have come off.
A report from ESPN’s Chris Mortenson heated things up even further as the team targeted “an adult” in midfield.
Browns insult Baker Mayfield with “adult” report
“They’re breaking up, regardless of whether Deshaun Watson ends up in Cleveland or not,” Mortenson said. “I was told that it was not an emotional match. While Baker Mayfield’s passion and emotional leadership was universally accepted in Oklahoma and even at the beginning with the Browns, things changed. They want what they consider an adult in that position.”
Mortenson put quotes around the word “adult”.
That would be a hard pill to swallow for Mayfield. It would be one thing for a team to give up a midfielder because of his limitations as a player. But judging his personality as “non-adult” is harsh.
It doesn’t help that the team is currently attracting a quarterback with 22 sexual misconduct charges pending in civil court.
The mere fact that the assessment was so widespread around the world was proof that the relationship between Mayfield and the Browns was irreparable.
Mortenson suggested the Seahawks or Colts as a landing spot for Mayfield in a potential trade. He still has a year left on his contract with Cleveland.
Meanwhile, the Browns will have to see what Warson decides. They could also switch to Jimmy Garappolo from the 49ers.
