The Boys star Jensen Acrum is developing a secret DC Comics project

Jensen Acrum has had a lot of work over the years: he played the character of Jason Teague on Smallville back in the mid-2000s, played Dean Winchester for 15 seasons on Supernatural, and will soon appear as Soldier Boy, a cowardly parody of Captain America, on Boys. And it looks like he just started.

Appeared on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside you podcast, Acrum revealed that he is currently working with Warner Bros. in a DC project… though of course he won’t say which. “[T]This is a DC property that I am currently developing with Warner Bros. and some other good partners that I had the opportunity to join,” he said. “But again, I’m not going to talk about it, because you don’t want to talk about it.”

Outside Smallville, Acker also entered the DC world as the voice of Red Hood in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood and then Batman himself in Batman: Long Halloween. Maybe this new project is related to another animated project, or maybe DC will let him take on the role of some iconic hero on the big screen.

Jensen Aboards character on Boys is “a jackal”

But before that happens, we can enjoy Acks as a superhero on Boys… Although none of the superheroes on the show were super special. Soldier Boy was the first superhero Vought was ever created, and Aprising described him as “an asshole”:

He is the grandfather. He’s from the 40s. He fought in the Second World War and he’s just a teaching teacher, stubborn for a hole. And he doesn’t age, so he’s a real 40-year-old superhero 80 or 90 years old. There’s a lot of material out there and you’ll see what I mean when you watch the show, but he has a preference for people from his contemporaries.

So why haven’t we seen Soldier Boy before if he’s been around for so long? “What happened was – and I don’t think this is a secret, I’m not giving anything away – they found me and I was basically imprisoned for a while,” Acrum explained. “And so when they do, I grow a beard and I look like [Tom Hanks in] Castaway. But then they cleaned up for me and I put my superhero costume back on and I went into town. ”

Boys season 3 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 3. After that, we’ll have to wait and see. “The door doesn’t close,” Jensen said. “We’ll explain it that way… It will depend on how it all comes together. I haven’t seen anything cut together yet, but I’ve gotten some good feedback from people who need to be impressed. ”
