The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles play in the Little League World Series

The Boston Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles in the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

That Boston Red Sox will compete against Baltimore oriole in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for the Little League Classic on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will complete a three game series.

The game will likely be nostalgic for MLB players considering they were once little kids who dreamed of making it to the majors.

Karl Ravech, who will name the game, narrated Chad Finn of the Boston Globe, “This is about the Little Leaguers, but to me it’s also the Major Leaguers, who all played baseball at the age of 10, 11 and 12 and end up realizing their dream of being a Big League player let. It’s amazing that they do what they do and it all started then. This is a reminder of that time. It’s the connection between the past and their current status as major league players. I think it will mean a lot to them to play there.”

The game will also be competitive for both teams as they compete for a wild card spot.

The Red Sox and Orioles are going head-to-head for a wild card spot

The Red Sox and Orioles are both battling for a wildcard spot this season. The Red Sox have had a tough season and are currently at the bottom of the AL East rankings. They are the only team under .500.

Last place is all too familiar to the Orioles. They have finished last every season since 2017, with the exception of 2020. The Red Sox have finished first three times since 2016.
