The 6 best upcoming games coming in July 2022

The gaming industry is heading into summer, and at a time when announcements are usually plentiful and recent releases scarce, some pretty cool games are actually coming out remarkably soon. Here are some of the most anticipated titles due out in July 2022.
F1 22 – July 1st

Racing fans will get a powerful start in July. The next annual installment in the F1 series developed by Codemasters arrives directly on July 1st on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Players will find several new features right at their fingertips, including a customizable hub mode called F1 Life, adaptive AI for competitive racers, and the all-new Miami Grand Prix circuit.
Loopmancer – July 13th

The debut game from Beijing-based development studio eBrain Studio, roguelike platformer Loopmancer packs quite a punch. As private detective Xiang Zixu, you’ll scour Dragon City for a missing journalist and show up at your apartment whenever you die in classic roguelike fashion. PC players can take to the streets of Dragon City on July 13th. While console versions for Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox have been promised, there is currently no release date for those platforms.
Stray – July 19th

There are few things that drive the insane anticipation of a certain subset of gamers like an adorable animal in a game. Since its reveal in 2020, Stray has been the subject of a lot of excitement, and fans have been eager to see when they can pick it up and explore his cyberpunk world with their new fuzzy friend. Luckily, the wait is finally over – Stray lands on its feet on July 19th on PC, PS4 and PS5.
Live A Live – July 22nd

Originally only released in Japan on Super Famicom, the time-traveling JRPG Live A Live is set to release on Nintendo Switch on July 22nd. The HD 2D remake, which was surprisingly announced in a Nintendo Direct in February, puts players in control of seven different heroes from different eras of history. Each has their own story to tell, but the storylines also begin to weave together in enticing ways later on. As well as the graphical overhaul, the game will also feature some voice acting – not bad for an 18 year old title.
Digimon Survive – 28th/29th July

An impressive four years after its initial announcement, Digimon Survive is finally emerging from development hell and making its way to PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The game combines hidden object finding, tactical RPG gameplay, and some visual novel-like mechanics and is scheduled for release on July 28 in Japan and July 29 in other parts of the world.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – July 29th

It’s going to be a good month for Nintendo Switch fans. Back in April, Nintendo surprisingly announced that the release date for the highly anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would actually be earlier than planned. So, starting July 29th, Switch owners can dive straight into the war-torn world of Aionios and meet the six main characters on their journey.
