Texas A&M football adds a splash to Independence Day with ESPN 300 DE Enai White

ESPN 300’s defensive finish Enai White capped a memorable day for Texas A&M recruiting as the 37th-placed player picked the Aggies over Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State on Wednesday.

Aggies is currently the #1 grade, ahead of similar programs White has reviewed.

White is 6-foot-5 and weighs 225-pounds from Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia, and is the #6 defensive post in the nation. His commitment to Texas A&M earned the Aggies four ESPN 300 commitments on Wednesday alone.

Jimbo Fisher and his staff are chasing the No. 1 spot, but are one place behind Alabama for most of the day. However, Aggies coaches must be excited to take down White, ESPN 300 attacking midfielder Kam Dewberry, ESPN 300 defensive midfielder Anthony Lucas and ESPN 300 Jake Johnson.

Johnson’s commitment completes a whirlwind for him. He had just left LSU recently when his brother, Max, announced his transfer from the Tigers. With Jake committed to Texas A&M, that could tell where Max might end up.

With White in the rankings, Texas A&M currently has 18 ESPN 300 commitments, 10 of which rank in the top 100.
