Terry Rozier’s perfect 3-word response to victory over Wizards

NS Charlotte Hornets beat the Washington Wizards 109-103, causing the Capital team to lose its second match at home this season. Charlotte withdrew in the second half and has pretty much controlled the game since then.

Their way back has also carried them throughout this game. Terry Rozier has the highest 32 points of the season. It was definitely his best game of the season and he looked so comfortable stroking it from deep–includes a dagger for a few seconds close the door to close the lid on this one. Rozier is a key part of the team’s success going forward, so seeing him up against a good team is a welcome encouragement.

When Terry was asked about his performance, he simply replied, “It feels great.”

“When I woke up this morning and shot around, I almost knew what the day was going to be like. You know, I would never doubt myself,” continued Rozier.

Terry Rozier has had some tough games to start the season with after a serious ankle injury returned. With that said, watching him roll is reassuring and James Borrego loves it.

“He is the heartbeat of this team. We believed in his shot and so did he. It’s only a matter of time before he heats up. We’re confident he’ll hit the big shots soon to keep us here. It was the beginning of a long time for Terry Rozier and this is the Terry we are familiar with,” Borrego added.

Not to be outdone, LaMelo Ball had another great match as well. After posting a double tap on Atlanta Hawks in a losing attempt, Ball scored his seventh double of the season in a win. He finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. This seems to be one of his most mature games of the campaign. He looked poised and fit all night long. He started the ball game scary, but he found a nice groove later in the competition.

When the Hornets’ side was bobbing, they were a tough team to beat. Rozier and Ball’s performance saved Charlotte from looking at some obvious stats in the game – like the big difference across the boards as the Wizards had 65 rebounds compared to Charlotte’s 36. Most teams would have lost the game after losing games across the board by almost 30, but Buzz City managed it somehow.

This is a good win for a young team looking to move into the post-season. The Wizards played great basketball and were one of the better teams in the league. The Hornets could compete for a playoff spot with them in bot lane and they won the first two games in this matchup.

The Hornets will continue their road trip in Orlando to take on Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
