Teenage passenger dies in collision with vehicle on Hoxton Park Road, south-west Sydney

A passenger believed to be 17 has died after a single-vehicle crash in south-west Sydney.

Emergency services were called to Hoxton Park Road, Hoxton Park, around 3.35am on Sunday after reports that a white Toyota Camry had crashed into a post. The male passenger died at the scene.

NSW Police say he has yet to be formally identified but is believed to be 17 years old.

“The 17-year-old male driver was treated at the scene by paramedics from the NSW Ambulance before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for an assessment and mandatory check,” police said.

Officers have set up a crime scene which is being investigated by the Crash Investigation Unit special police force.

Hoxton Park Road has been closed eastbound, with local detours in place while the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continues.
