Tears Of The Kingdom raises eyebrows in Zelda & Link’s Love
Since The Legend of ZeldaLink and the Hylian princess have been at each other’s side for a long time. Twhat relationship has was considered platonic, with Link acting as Zelda’s knight in a green tunic. Tears of the Kingdom seems to be changing their relationship status by letting Zelda bring her stuff to Link’s lovingly rustic home. And now, Zelda’s voice actress has also opened up about Link and Zelda’s relationship status, which remains complicated.

As some fans say, the franchise’s recent games, breath of the wild And Tears of the Kingdom, seem to indicate that the relationship between the two runs much deeper than just fate and time. The latter game in particular was a smash hit Advertising And critical Success since its May 12 release on Nintendo Switch, features Link’s house in Hateno Village populated with a plethora of Zelda itemsfrom pictures to her diary and more. People assume that Zelda supposedly came over and redecorated Link’s house. This renovation also featured only one bed in the room, leading fans to believe that Nintendo officially sent both of them.
The Hylians’ relationship status seemed to be further underscored by Zelda’s voice actress Patricia Summersett’s testimony an interview with The player on May 18, which many took to mean she said the two were in an active romantic relationship.
“Personally, as a voice actor, as I look at the overall relationship between Link and Zelda over time, I love the ambiguity and the fact that if there’s something, it’s up to us [to determine]”Summersett told the gaming publication. “I think in my own life I can respect and celebrate relationships that aren’t conventional. It also sidesteps the ending and one always wonders what might happen, keeping the relationship active. There’s a tension in that, and there’s something really beautiful about that defiance of definition. I keep coming back to it and I really love it both as an actor and as a person. It’s also very important to portray those relationships, and I think they’re the best relationships we have in life, whether it’s a friendship or something that doesn’t have to fit any definition. I know that [Link and Zelda] We’re in a relationship, she’s active, there’s a lot of caring and a lot of listening, and I just love that about it.”
There is love between Link and Zelda, but not romantically
Since stories have popped up suggests Link and Zelda – Zelink? lelda Zinc?-are one thing, Summersett took to Twitter to clarify the incident. She tweeted on May 22 that her quote didn’t mean the Hylians were a romantic couple.
“The quote [I gave] “That means we all have different types of relationships — with friends, family, loved ones, co-workers, pets, trees, dodgy food,” Summersett said. “It’s not up to me to decide.”
Summersett has since replied to a Nintendo Everything tweet, explaining that the publication misinterpreted her words and that we are all in a relationship with others. She replied to that too a Twitter fan who said They considered Link to be Zelda’s “trustworthy henchman”. saying she “[loves] that we can all choose for ourselves what the relationship between Link and Zelda means to us.
