It’s been a week for the shirt release.
After Team Canada kicked off the festivities on Tuesday night, Team America followed up on Wednesday morning by releasing their full uniforms for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
The uniforms, which have been officially announced by USA Hockey, will be worn by men’s, women’s and paralympic hockey teams to matches in about four months.
In crafting their kits for these upcoming games, Team USA opted for simplicity this time around. Instead of integrating the stars and stripes of their flag into the design as in previous years, the organization simply used bold “USA” to decorate the front of each jersey, with red piping and green highlights it on the home and away versions. , while the replacer is lighter blue without the red pipe.
Completing the design is an American hockey patch that is prominently placed on the left shoulder of each jersey.
With NHL players taking part in the Olympics for the first time since 2014, fans will be able to see their favorites like Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, Connor Hellebuyck, and more wear these sweaters for a few short months.
