TCU vs. Kansas Prediction and Odds (Can Horned Frogs beat Jayhawks again this week?)

The TCU Horned Frogs picked a hell of a time to catch fire, back-to-back victories over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks.

TCU has a chance tonight to prove their win over Kansas was no fluke and plays the Jayhawks again tonight, just two days after their upset win.

But TCU has had a very tough stretch of games and one has to wonder how much they left in the tank for a home game against a disgruntled Jayhawks team.

The Jayhawks fell to second place in the Big 12 behind the Baylor Bears and have just two games left to gain ground. Kansas is also going on a two-game losing streak against TCU and Baylor and has work to do if they hope to catch up in the next four halves.

Here are the odds for this Big 12 battle, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

money line:

In total: 143 (above -110/below -110)

Despite their recent struggles in conference play, the Jayhawks are still one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the nation.

They rank 15th in offensive standings, averaging 79.1 points per game. They’re also one of the best teams in the conference in terms of assists per game, rebounds per game, and point average. Basically, despite two defeats in a row, they are not a team to sleep on.

I think the TCU knows this and will adjust accordingly. But I’m struggling to find the faith to bet that TCU will upset Kansas twice in the same week. I hate to say it, but this win feels like a lot of luck was involved. Especially when you consider that the TCU offense is ranked 224th in the standings.

The Horned Frogs may have the 31st-scoring defense in the nation, but I think Kansas will apply the lessons they learned in the last loss to this game. I just don’t see a team as good as Kansas completely falling apart in the last two weeks of the season and I want to get them back on their feet here. The problem is that the spread is massive at 11.5.

Since TCU recently clinched a win over Kansas, that line doesn’t suit me and I’ll be taking the Horned Frogs to cover their second straight game against Kansas.

Choice: TCU +11.5 (-110)
