Taylor Swift aims to hit an unexpected turning point in the entertainment industry

Taylor Swift recently directed a project entitled All Too Well: The Short Film, which screened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. This is her first directorial effort that isn’t a music video, but she thinks she’s more than ready to make the leap to feature films. “If it were the right thing, it would be such a privilege and honor,” she said during an appearance, speaking to …, admitting she hadn’t attended film school, but she understands what it takes to make a film make awake from the director’s chair to life. “When I did it on my own, I really started learning everything because you have to,” Swift added.
So what kind of movies can we possibly expect Taylor Swift to direct? Well, she’s made it clear that she’s not trying to break into the Marvel Cinematic Universe or any other action-packed escape attempts. “I’ll always want to tell human stories about human emotions,” Swift revealed, citing acclaimed directors like Nora Ephron, Chloe Zhao and Greta Gerwig as some of her biggest influences. “It’s really nice that we’re in a place where the idea of a female filmmaker doesn’t make you roll your eyes or think as skeptically as it used to,” she explained (via The Hollywood Reporter).
If Taylor Swift has proven anything, it’s that she’s a multifaceted talent. If she tries to make feature films, don’t be surprised if she knocks it out of the park.
