Taye Diggs lands new gig hosting dating show to help women in their 40s find their “Winstons.”

Taye Diggs enters the reality television business. The actor has been chosen to host a new dating show called Back in the Groove, which is set to stream on Hulu sometime in the near future.

The unscripted show will follow three women, 43-year-old Sparkle from Atlanta; 41-year-old Steph from Miami; and Brooke, 42, from Los Angeles, who are trying to break out of their everyday lives and find love.

The women will be staying at The Groove Hotel in the Dominican Republic, where their potential love interests are half their age. The show’s premise and name are all a nod to Diggs’ first film, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, in which he starred as the 20-year-old love interest of Angela Bassett’s character, 40-year-old Stella.

“As the saying goes, you can’t fall in love with someone else until you’ve fallen in love with yourself! At the Groove Hotel, these three women have the opportunity to do both! Whether they find the perfect fling, friendship, true love, or something in between, this is their chance to take the lead and break through the double standards that older women face every day. And they’re going to have a blast doing it!” Hulu said in its announcement.

The All American actor also shared the new gig with his followers on social media. As expected, his fans jumped at the chance to address the 1998 film and its connections to Digg’s new gig.

Some of their comments were: “Stellas getting her groove back”, “Live action of Stella getting her groove back”, “Stella getting her groove back” and “Ok I see what you did Winston!!! ”

Other commenters asked how they missed the opportunity to sign up, and others said there was no way they would be interested in dating someone 20 years their junior.

Diggs, 51, is currently dating the former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member April Jones35. The duo have had fans involved in their unique pairing since earlier this year, with at least one person commenting, “I want the April & Taye Show!!” At least for now, fans must continue to tune into the hilarious posts of the Post couples on social media.
