Tampa Bay plans to return Richard Sherman

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are helping Richard Sherman return from injury in time for their Week 14 confrontation with Buffalo Bills. However, that does not mean he will compete.

Sherman has been on the injured bench since injuring his calf before their Week 10 game against Washington football team. He was also absent from the team for their Week 7 and 8 competition due to a hamstring strain, but it wasn’t until his calf problem that the team put him on the IR roster.

The veteran full-back crossed the final hurdle to his return on Friday, but by Ricky Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers hope they won’t need him for their encounter with the Bills.

Tom Brady and his Buccaneers are on a three-game winning streak, and at 9-3, they are competing for the top spot in NFC. Currently, the Arizona Cardinals lead the conference and the entire NFL with a 10-2 record.

However, head coach Bruce Arians knew they couldn’t get too complacent against a Bills team also vying for a playoff spot. At 7-5, Buffalo posed a threat in the Bucs’ attempt to win four in a row and stay within striking distance of the cards.

Of course, the presence of Richard Sherman will certainly help, but the Buccaneers are probably hoping they can give him more rest as post-season approaches.
