On Sunday, Dr Dre retweeted a video from Eminem’s Thriller account of rapper 8 Mile reading the ending to the 2020 song “Godzilla”. In the caption, Dre asks who he thinks could stand against Em.
“Marshall Mathers vs Who??? !!” Dre wrote.
This prompted the hip-hop community to jump into Dre’s comment to share their thoughts on who could go up against Em. Some say Jay-Z, some say Nas, and even Lil Wayne.
VERZUZ Swizz cofounder Beatz even joined the conversation, dropping two cents for someone he thinks might be up against Eminem.
“ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!! Let’s go,” said Swift.
For almost a year, everyone tried to figure out who would be a worthy opponent for Busta. Fat Joe even said in September that the reason artists didn’t do VERZUZ vs. Busta was because they were afraid to share the stage with him.
“Fat Joe is afraid to do Verzuz with Busta Rhymes and others too,” said Fat Joe. “You have to understand, do you ever notice sometimes – you’ve seen boxers and they knock everybody out? People are scared to fight those boxers.” Joe went on to say “Busta Rhymes will rap, surpass anyone Verzuz with him. That is a fact. Yo, Busta Rhymes no one wants to go in there with you, man. You may have to be a person of honor — they have to give you the check for no reason. ”
Could Eminem be the last artist to fight Busta Rhymes? What do you think?
