What is Swagger season 2 about?
Swagger Season 2 introduces the audience to a group of young men who are about to become adults. Jace, Phil, Nick, Musa, Drew and Royale are entering their senior year of high school and are ready to face the challenges that lie ahead. Most of them will attend Cedar Cove Prep, a prestigious institution where influential board members reign and exercise control over every aspect of the school, from faculty appointments to student admissions. Despite their academic achievements, the Cedar Cove basketball team is not doing too well. But a game-changing change occurs when athletic director Emory Lawson recruits the extraordinarily talented Swagger players.
The school’s basketball program soon evolves into an elite force, catching the eye of Gladiator Sneakers’ Alonzo Powers and attracting top-notch college scouts across the country, while also amassing an avid following via live-streaming platforms. But her new success has its price. The talented players stand under the relentless scrutiny of critics and observers as they strive for a coveted national high school championship.

production for Swagger began in February 2018 and was initially commissioned as a sports drama television series. Filming began in October 2019 but was temporarily delayed in February due to an unexpected rewrite and the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in December 2020, with much of the filming taking place in Richmond and Hopewell, Virginia.
