SVU fans are genuinely pleased with Rollins’ protracted departure

Kelli Giddish’s final Law & Order: SVU appearance will be in Episode 9 of the current season. We’re not quite halfway through her exit arc yet, but how it begins isn’t what many fans want to see. In Episode 3, we see that Rollins suffers from PTSD as a result of the gunshot she sustained in Episode 1. She sometimes attends therapy but is damaged, and Rollins fans want to see her happy for once. “I honestly would have preferred Rollins to be killed on duty rather than this slow, drawn out process where she looks like death is heating up and slowly falling apart in every episode. It seriously does her character injustice. ” @DJoftheOri tweeted after episode 3.

“Why are you making them so dirty? You could write while pregnant and let her go because of it… I hate that for Rollins.” @golightlyholly2 added. Just like Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) on Chicago PD, there’s a big change in Amanda’s character before her departure, and fans want to see the Rollins they love before she leaves. “They literally get Rollins soooo dirty on #lawandordersvu #svu I hate it.” @suncall tweeted. It seems SVU viewers are frustrated at how Rollins’ final story is being dragged out when all they want is a happy ending for her with Carisi (Peter Scanavino).
