Susan Sarandon is set to play a villain in DC’s BLUE BEETLE movie – GeekTyrant

Oscar winner Suzanne Sarandon was cast in Warner Bros. upcoming DC movie Blue Beetle, and she will take on the role of villain Victoria Kord. This is a new character created for this particular film.

This was previously announced Sharon stone wanted to play this character, but it obviously didn’t work out with this cast. That’s ok though, Sarandon is a much better actress.

She will join the previous cast Xolo Mariduen (Cobra Kai), who takes on the role of Jamie Reyes, the alter ego of the Blue Beetle, a vigilante who has had a scarab grafted onto his spine, granting him tremendous powers and the ability to emit blue energy.

The series also has stars Bruna Marquezine as Penny, the female lead and love interest, Belissa Escobedo as Jamie’s younger sister Milagros as well Harvey Guillen. However, we don’t yet know who he’s playing.

Directed by Blue Beetle Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings) from a script written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (Miss Bala).

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 18, 2023.
