Supply chain issues screwed up Phillies’ unified plans

Supply chain issues have been impacting all sorts of things lately. This apparently includes the Philadelphia Phillies and their uniforms.

The Philadelphia Phillies aren’t having much luck getting the uniforms they planned on getting into their clubhouse. Apparently, supply chain issues found a way to ruin what the Phillies planned to wear.

It’s correct. The Phillies were apparently unable to get the cream uniforms they planned to wear on Sunday.

Supply chain issues appear to be affecting Major League Baseball teams in much the same way they’ve impacted your grocery store visits and online grocery orders in recent months. Can’t get the car battery you wanted to buy online? Well that sucks. You should join a club with the Phillies because they weren’t able to get the uniforms they wanted to wear.

Uniforming has been delayed, according to a report by’s Todd Zolecki. What’s the deal with the delay?

Philadelphia Phillies uniforms appear to be affected by supply chain issues

Apparently, the uniform supplier “was unable to ship the uniforms on time,” Phillies executive vice president Dave Buck told Zolecki. According to Zolecki’s article, Buck informed him that the supplier is “supportive and doing their best.”

And that’s all one can really hope for right now, isn’t it? Can anyone really get upset about apparent supply chain issues as things have unfolded in the world over the past few years? The uniforms will show up when they show up. Assuming they show up.

Hopefully they show up sooner rather than later. Along with some of the other uniforms the Phillies plan to wear. Apparently those cream uniforms aren’t the only ones that haven’t arrived yet.

According to Zolecki, Philadelphia’s “retro powder-blue uniforms” worn to home games on Thursdays have also not caught on. There isn’t even an ETA for either uniform.

This is far from ideal. Supply chain issues screwed up Phillies’ unified plans
