Supermodel Cindy Crawford, 56, stuns the internet with new Instagram post

At the peak of her fame in the 1980s and 1990s, Cindy Crawford was one of the highest paid models in the world.

And she continues to wow at 56, recently posting a series of pictures to Instagram that left her fans in raptures.

Though Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, have produced another supermodel – daughter Kaia Gerber, 21 – Crawford is still a coveted model himself.

Her latest Instagram post shows her on a sofa to promote a partnership with Rooms To Go.

In the photos, the legendary model wears a shimmering gold top, camel-colored leather pants and gold strappy high heels.

“Lean back in style” was the title of the post.

Fans loved the sleek photos that showcased her classic beauty and sleek frame.

“You’re still just sublime. So happy for your beautiful life,” wrote one follower.

“Classic American beauty,” said another.

“The most beautiful woman ever,” gushed another.

“You will never go out of style,” wrote one follower.

Crawford was one of the original supermodels of the 80’s alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer and Christy Turlington.

Known for her athletic build, shiny brown hair and famous beauty mark, Crawford was a Sports Illustrated cover star, signed a multi-million dollar deal with cosmetics giant Revlon and walked for the world’s biggest fashion designers.

Still going strong, she has recently modeled for Vogue and W Magazine.

A photoshoot for Polish Vogue wowed fans as she modeled a revealing gown that showed off her still-fabulous figure.

“The GOAT (Greatest of All Time),” wrote one fan.

“GORGE,” added fellow supermodel Naomi Campbell.

“You will always set the bar. Symbol!” wrote another.

Crawford’s daughter has carved her own path in the fashion world, recently grappling with claims that she’s a so-called “nepotism baby” whose famous mother got her into modeling.

“I will not deny the privilege I have,” Gerber told Elle.

“Even if it’s just the fact that I have a really great source of information and someone who gives me great advice, I feel very lucky for that alone.

“My mother used to joke, ‘If I could call and book a Chanel campaign, it would be for me, not you.’

“But I also met great people through my mother who I can now work with.”

Gerber, who is dating Elvis star Austin Butler, looks uncannily like her supermodel mom.

She had also landed major campaigns in her relatively short career, including for Versace, Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton.

She said nepotism doesn’t work if the client isn’t talented — or nice.

“Nobody wants to work with someone who’s annoying, not easy to deal with, and not nice,” she said.
