ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Between Superbowl and Valentine’s Day celebrations, stores are packed and shoppers are busy shopping at the last minute.
The weather may be cold, but the weekend plans are heating up. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. You know what that means, flowers.
“A lot of red roses, that’s the main thing, I have about 1,800 red roses in the store,” said Christine Lesher Reed, manager of Lesher’s Flower.
No wonder, red roses are the favorite. They are filling up the floors already packed and ready to go.
Customers are also spreading love at chocolate shops and nail salons.
Todd hampel, owner of oF St. “We’re going to stop and beat the last-minute rush and buy some stuff before Monday,” said Louis Pizza and Wings.
Some are pulling double duty shopping for their Valentine and the Super Bowl at the grocery store.
“I’m celebrating Valentine’s Day with my husband, so I have some steak, some flowers, we’ll make some strawberries with some chocolate,” says Schnucks customer Raquel DiVincenzo .
