Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac is turning the “stinky cat room” into a baby nursery – and social media can’t get enough of it

Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac posted a hilarious video on his Instagram account showing the transformation of a “smelly cat room” into a kid’s room.

He and his partner Rebecca James are awaiting the imminent arrival of their little one and the TV personality is excited to update fans and followers on her preparations for the big event.

“Bec’s dad came with his tools and I brought mine,” Sam begins the video.

“Time to become Bunnings brothers. We are both fluent in Bunnings.

“The staff were impressed with my hardware knowledge and Phil and I bonded seriously.”

The camera then cuts to Sam sucking on an icy pole while Rebecca’s father Phil does all the work.

“Then a life-affirming moment,” Sam continues.

“Phil had me draw for eight seconds before shattering my dreams and telling me I was doing everything wrong.

“He said my skills would be best suited to other areas” — like making pizzas for lunch, for example.

“In order to adapt, I had to make more unnecessary noise,” he continued.

Four days later, the smelly cat room was transformed — and looking stunning.

“Packed with everything you need, ready for the little one’s arrival,” he said.

“Unless the disgruntled project manager (i.e. Bec) comes home hating the color.”

The room is painted a light olive green and filled with fluffy toys and cute knick-knacks.

“Packed with everything you need,” says Sam as the camera zooms in on his book, Accidental Weatherman, at the end of the baby bookshelf.

Sam’s fans and followers loved the video.

“I love that!!! Not for long,” Jessica Ridley said.

“I love everything about this video,” wrote Barry du Bois.

“It all looks so easy on Instagram.

“I am sending you both love and strength. All three actually!”

“Looks so cozy. Great job,” added one follower.

“Sensational,” said another.

“The personal touch makes it special, like the book at the end of the shelf.”

Others only had one question now after the smelly cat room was remodeled.

“Where will the cat live?” asked more than one person.
