Some people are a bit freaked out by clowns and others loathe the Christmas grinch — but for a Sunrise star’s partner, their elves are a no-go zone.
Popular weather presenter Sam Mac, his partner Bec and their baby daughter Margot were driving from Sydney to Melbourne for Christmas – and an uninvited guest joined them.

Sharing the story on Instagram, Mac’s video story began with him standing in front of a Christmas tree in the dark.
“We’re going to Melbourne from Sydney over Christmas and there’s an extra passenger,” he whispered to the camera.
“Bec thought that was the last time she saw this guy.”
The camera panned to a slightly creepy looking toy elf while Mac let out an evil laugh in the background.
“He’s coming with us,” he said.
The video then cuts to footage of the interstate ride, with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” playing in the background.
Next, Bec is shown opening a gift box on Christmas Day in Melbourne.
“Something very special, very close to my heart,” Mac can be heard saying in the background.
Realizing it was the loathed elf, Bec sighed angrily and gave Mac an unimpressed sideways glance while Mac chuckled in the background.
“Seriously, I can’t believe this,” she grumbled.
“How the hell did that make it to Melbourne?”
“He traveled with us,” Mac explained.
“It’s a family Christmas – you must have the whimsical elf.”
The camera then lingered on the elf wearing red lips and exaggerated elf boots.
Bec, unfazed, scratched her nose before shoving the elf back into her box.
Fans thought it was all a bit of a hoot.
“GOLD, PURE GOLD LOL,” wrote one follower.
“Oh, she might accidentally lose that,” said another.
A third wrote: “He’s family now! Congratulations you have a son, Bec!”
In a separate post, things seemed a lot happier.
Sharing an adorable Christmas portrait with Bec and a smiling baby Margot, Mac wrote about his daughter’s first Christmas.
“It blows my mind to think on Christmas Day last year we didn’t even know this little milk monster was on our horizon,” he wrote.
“Well here we are celebrating our first Christmas as a family a year later and look at her she gave us smiles!
“(Or maybe she was just in the middle of burping, but whatever, we’ll take it).
“Merry Christmas everyone! & lots of love to those who lost someone special this year.
“I know it can be a particularly tough day, but I hope you enjoyed some fond memories.”
Followers loved the adorable family photo.
“God your little guru’s smile is divine,” wrote Home and Away star Georgie Parker.
“Merry Christmas she has the most beautiful smile thank god,” wrote another follower.
“I’d say she’s really smiling now,” said one fan.
“Every Christmas gets better.
“Enjoy every moment of her.”
