Isla explained on TikTok that waking up at 1:47 a.m. “is when I push myself up and start getting ready.”

While Isla prepared her breakfast and got ready to start the day, her roommates upstairs slept soundly.

At 2:10 a.m., she was out the door.

Just 20 minutes later, the Seven talent arrived at Brekky Central – and explained that one of the perks of driving at this time was the lack of traffic.

At the beginning of her working day, the Sunrise employee would prepare for the show and check international news before beginning her production duties in the control room.

The video left viewers so stunned that they were dying to hear her nightly routine as well.

Days later, Isla grabbed the camera again – this time at 3:30 p.m.

After already having dinner, the producer tries to “trick” her body every night by using mint tea, black-out glasses and even sunglasses around the house.

Still sporting her glasses, Isla laughed “this is where things get weird” as she jumped into bed at 5pm for a solid “night” sleep.

Fans in the comments section of both Sunrise videos were stunned by the unusual hours and “to see what’s going on behind the scenes”.

Isla’s video has since received over 500,000 views on TikTok, a number that has “shocked” her because for her “this is just normal life”.

“We just all live in a different time zone, and if you do it well, you never get tired,” she tells 7Life.

“I know people rarely aren’t tired, but I’m really disciplined,” she added, explaining that along with coffee, she drinks plenty of water and snacks to keep her energy up.

“It’s pretty funny because it’s so normal for us.”

Isla explains that Sunrise is “just a spinning machine,” some of whom work the earlier shift from 12:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

“It’s not always light and windy, we have breaking news, things don’t go according to plan and we have to think straight away, and it can be chaotic and very stressful,” says the producer.

“You have to keep an open mind because at the end of the day the show is never going to go quite according to plan, so you have to be prepared to make sudden changes.”
