Studio head at 343 Industries promises developers will make Halo games “now and in the future.”

Last week was a tough one for Halo infinity Fans (and an even worse one for affected employees) when Microsoft laid off around 60 developers at 343 Industries, including several employees who worked on the shooter’s single-player campaign, while its creative director was moved to Xbox’s broader publishing division and the role was erased. This likely raised some concerns among the game’s fans, prompting 343 studio head Pierre Hintze to try to allay those worries… by posting a picture of two sentences.

“343 Industries will continue to evolve gloriole now and in the future, including epic storytelling, multiplayer and more of what makes gloriole great,” assures the pictured statement. “gloriole and Master Chief are here to stay.”

Reactions to the statement were somewhat mixed, with some fans apparently feeling slightly mollified, others clamoring for 343’s blood, and both sides Post memes. Meanwhile, the shooter himself is trying to look lively with his Joint Fire event and a free weapon charm from Clippy, who dons a tactical helmet to complete challenges.
