Street Fighter 6’s next characters are Yuri and Kimberley

It wouldn’t be EVO without some character announcements, so tonight Capcom took the opportunity to present the next two characters to make up street fighter 6 Squad: the return of Yuri, alongside Kimberly, a fighter making her series debut.

You can see both in action in this trailer below. Juri joins her performance one of the smoothest Akira Slides I’ve seen for a whilewhile Kimberly is described by Capcom as, uh, a “spunky new ninja” who has special moves using spray cans and a Walkman:

Of course it’s not really that First times we saw Kimberly, the first playable African American in street fighter series history. She was teased in the game’s announcement trailer, and we saw her full design (as well as Juri’s) in this art leak a few months ago.

This leak will likely spoil a lot of those announcements, at least a little, although I think it also got us seeing more of some of the cooler examples, such as China’s AKI and Italy’s glorious new gladiator.
