John Cena is reportedly set to return to WWE in a few weeks. The former 16-time world champion currently has some busy Hollywood dates but is reportedly not planning to be anywhere near SummerSlam.

On the other hand, reigning US Champion Theory has been one of the breakout stars of the past few months and the young superstar has stolen the spotlight with his performances. The fact that the champion is named Vince McMahon’s protégé is a well known fact that he will get a big boost in the company and be nurtured as the next John Cena.

Will John Cena pass the torch to Theory anytime soon?

John Cena and Theory have spoken about each other before. Though Theory has been a bit harsh, boasting about his championship win and his association with Vince McMahon, John Cena has praised the young Superstars and has consistently hailed him as a great talent and the future of the company. But with the recent exchange of messages, Cena’s return could mean a potential match-up with the United States Champion.

A video recently surfaced online in which Cena called Theory the best Superstar, adding that he was the only Superstar who needed an attitude adjustment. But the US champions didn’t take it well, reacting to the video by saying, “Stop dressing up and do something about it”. A potential match between the two when Cena returns is the most likely match that can happen.
