Steve Harvey talks about the importance of aging and says he only gets better with time

Steve Harvey is known for dropping motivational gems, and this time he’s broken down what aging means. The comedian and actor opened up about the importance of taking care of your health as you age. A talk show host, business owner, philanthropist and father of seven, Harvey said he purposely takes time to look after his health.

“Age doesn’t creep up on you, man. Old age comes at you, hits you and pulls you away,” he explained in an Instagram video shared on Saturday, September 24. “I don’t want to just leave it up to appreciation. I don’t want to just let it go and get away as soon as possible. My drive is to be able to move, to have a form of flexibility without everything hurting.”

The motivational speaker shared that he “used to” have had back pain and “jacked” knees. He saw long-term results after hitting the gym and “stretching” with his trainers.

“Exercise isn’t always easy, but the benefits to your health are immeasurable because it affects the two most important things you have. And this is your time and your health,” Harvey said. “Aging is cool. I’m happy.”

The ‘Kings of Comedy’ star then recalled someone asking him what age he could go back to if he wished. His response was, “I said 64 because it’s the best I’ve ever had.”

The actor, who turned 65 in January, continued with the caption, “Aging is cool because I get better every year…this is the best thing I’ve ever had!”

The video received over 74,740 likes from fans in connection with Harvey’s message to take care of your health and well-being at all times. “#healthiswealth,” music master Doug E. Fresh wrote in the comments. Steve Harvey talks about the importance of aging and says he only gets better with time
