Steph Curry was clamped by Thybulle, but Steve Kerr reacted

Stephen the curry was rejected in the three-point attempt in Philadelphia not once but twice. The Golden Empire Warriors Protection was stalled all evening thanks to a 76ers pest known as the Matisse Thybulle.

Thybulle was the first player in NBA history to block two of Stephen Curry’s three passes in the same competition. He also limited the Warriors star to 2 to 13 shots from the field and 1 to 9 from 3-pointers when playing against each other.

Steve Kerr had nothing but praise for Matisse Thybulle after the game, admitting that his defensive performance against Stephen Curry was one of the best he has witnessed in a time.

Through the Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

“They just let Thybulle watch him the whole game and he harassed him really well,” the Warriors coach said. We just couldn’t get them to pay enough for paying so much attention to Steph. “

Thybulle had just six points, two rebounds and an assist on the score. But his defensive impact is so great while watching the game you can hardly tell he isn’t contributing to the stats.

“Once again, I give Thybulle credit. I think he defends great. He’s a rare combination of length and sport, and brains. He did Steph’s job as well as anyone I’ve seen in a long time. ”

Stephen Curry chases Ray allen‘S record three points marching on. Thankfully, the Warriors won’t have to play Matisse Thybulle and the Sixers anytime soon.
