Steelers Week 12 Protected Practice Team roster includes a new name

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now identified players on their protected practice team for Week 12, and this week’s four-player roster includes two wide receivers and two offensive linemen.

Covered by the Steelers in their practice lineup for Week 12 are Anthony Miller wide, Steven Sims wide, Chaz Green offensive line and John LeGlue offensive line.

This is the sixth time the Steelers have had Miller as a protected practice team since signing him in mid-October. He has yet to be elevated to the pre-match active/inactive list.

As for the Sims being protected this week, this is the fifth time this season that it has happened. He was elevated to the Active/Inactive list a few weeks before wide receiver Chase Claypool was sidelined with a toe injury.

If broad receiver Ray-Ray McCloud remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list this weekend, Sims or Miller will likely be elevated on Saturday to take his place on the Active list. Active / Inactive. Sims is likely to return so he will be the favorites to be raised on Saturday.

Green and LeGlue’s defense this week doesn’t come as a big surprise as the Steelers currently have attacking team striker JC Hassenauer who is facing a chest injury on Sunday night. The Steelers also recently added keeper Kevin Dotson to the Subs/Injured due to an ankle injury. Green has been defended several times so far this season. For LeGlue, this is the first time he has been selected as a protected training player this season.

Saturday, at 4 p.m. EST is when the Steelers will need to boost their score from the practice team. Good bet that both Sims and Green will be on the Active/Inactive list before that deadline.
